The best way to understand what the ROMM procedure
is about is to follow cases where the malignant nodules

These CAT scan images were taken from a 40 year old
with rhabdomyosarcoma (a highly malignant muscle
tumor). After the original cancer was from his leg,
these metastatic nodules appeared in his lung several
years later. No other site of involvement was
identified.
The CAT scan images shown here identify two different
and discrete tumor nodules in the lower lung field, as
identifed by the arrows. (Some of the other lines or
densities you may be seeing are actually normal blood
vessels in the lung). A total of 3 nodules were seen in his right lung prior to surgery, but 6
nodules were identified and removed using the ROMM technique. Every nodule was removed
intact and surrounded by a small rim of normal lung tissue. His recovery was uneventful.
